Zune software update coming soon

December 12th, 2006 by Mike

As per Jason Reindorp, marketing director for Zune, Microsoft will be rolling out their first software update for the Zune before Christmas.

With all the threads and posts making rounds about software installation problem, connectivity problem and other minor (or not so minor) issues an update was badly needed.

Well the update will not have any major changes. But will definitely include Vista support and fix some minor glitches and add some performance and other improvements.

Reindorp quoted saying. (Source: CNet News)

“It is plumbing stuff, but it is stuff customers will notice and appreciate,”

“It’s not going to be a whole new wireless scenario or anything like that.”

They even noticed a big difference in number of devices sold and the amount that have been activated and hooked up to the computer. Well, I guess the numbers gap will definitely narrow with the Vista support.

“We think a lot of Zunes are sitting underneath Christmas trees,” Reindorp said.
