Sync: A voice activated in car digital system

Ford teams up with Microsoft to provide a new fully integrated, voice-activated in-car communications and entertainment system named Sync for mobile phones and digital music players like Zune, IPod etc.

Sync will also support PlaysForSure players and most USB storage devices. Supported formats include MP3, AAC, WMA, WAV and PCM. Other ways to bring electronic devices into your car is via Bluetooth, for wireless connection of phones and phones that play music.

Sync will be available in 12 Ford, Lincoln and Mercury products and will help revolutionize the driving experience by providing a simple system that intelligently connects mobile phones, music players, and more.”

VAF Octavio 1 for zune now ships from Amazon

VAF Octavio 1Yes, the much hyped high-end speaker from VAF is now available for sale at Amazon. It is one of the most expensive hi-fi home entertainment systems for zune.

Octavio 1 plays music and videos directly from a zune device and can also be connected to your TV, Xbox or DVD player via standard RCA AV cables.

Retailing at $499, it boasts an 8-inch bass driver, two 5.25-inches long linear travel woofers with high damping synthetic rubber roll surrounds and 2 fluid-damped fabric dome tweeters all in one.

How to play and stream zune media to xbox 360

Recently we put together a small video just to show the overall speed and quality with which the xbox 360 uses the zune to play all media.

But we definitely didn’t go through the steps on how to do it. In this post I’ll explain step by step on how to play and stream all media with and to xbox 360.

Play zune media with xbox 360:

  • Connect one end of the sync cable to zune and other end to USB port on you xbox console.
  • From the xbox dashboard, select Media, then select Music, Pictures, or Video.

How to delete all content from your zune

Well want to start from scratch, delete all media files from your zune and don’t know how to do it. There are two ways 1) directly off zune or 2) using the zune software. I’ll discuss both.

Directly off zune:

  • Set the Hold switch to unlocked.
  • Press and hold the Back button at the same time as you press the top of the Control Pad.
  • Immediately press and hold the Back button at the same time as you press the right side of the Control Pad and the OK button in the center of the Control Pad.
